ERIN M. TOBEY (b. 1981) is an artist currently living in Richmond, VA. Her bag is mostly illustration and cartooning, but she also has fairly extensive experience as a self-taught designer. She has also recently been working as a costume-maker and seamstress, and has discovered textile art. Please see examples of various work above.

She has maintained a semi-regular web comic on her website HelloMermaid.com since 2004. Her comics have also appeared in several compilations including DRAWINGS zine, ALL THE DAYS ARE NUMBERED SO zine and GIVE ME BACK zine, and she has self-published several issues of her own comic zine, HERE IT IS. She has collaborated with cartoonist Nate Powell and musician Kimya Dawson, among others.

Erin also travels in the DIY punk circuit, playing music under her own moniker and entertaining thousands of young people around the country every year. She tries to maintain a consistent punk ethic in her music and art, and generally pooh-poohs the corporate sphere.
